Original short story about dreams, transformation, purification and coalescence. Black and white. 20 pages.
" Long ago, the Forest was the home to a tribe called the Wood People.
During the Great War between humans and magical beings, the Wood People took refuge deep in the Forest and transformed themselves into trees to escape their execution.
The Forest became a cursed place and the domain the domain of terrifying creatures.
Hundreds of years later, memories of the time before the Great War are only told by the elders to scare the children away from approaching the Forest.
Criminals and bandits are exiled to the Forest as capital punishment and are never to be seen again.
At the edge of the Forest, in a farming village, a young woman dreams of the Forest for as long as she can remember. The call becoming more and more insistent, she decides to enter the Forst and to find out who owns this voice that inhabits her dreams... "
This comic is a short essay for a larger project I am currently working on. There are limited quantities available. Hand made and self published.
